In stark difference to all previous versions of this professional raster and photo editing suite, CS3 was offered to two different editions (Standard and Extended), and for the first time in the history of Photoshop, its sub-app ImageReady was completely removed.
Instead, it brought reorganization and optimizing of current tools and services and adoption of management and exporting features that facilitate easier publishing of projects intended for the web. The entire focus of this release was not the adoption of new tools. Originally released in April of 2007, almost exactly two years after the arrival of its predecessor, Adobe Photoshop CS3 brought with itself a brand-new interface that successfully managed to boost tool discovery and increase productivity for all of its users.
